“New Line should be ashamed of themselves at this most blantant example of double-dipping. They clearly have put on the ring and are in cahoots with Sauron.”

I’m talking about the HD version of the films by the way : ).
I just watched Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring extended DVD version for the first time, I’ve practically lost count of how many times I’ve seen the epic tale’s theatrical release myself. After finishing, I could not only wonder whether there was a Blu Ray format coming out to where I could see LOTR in full HD quality. Upon browsing on Amazon, I noticed they recently threw out a 3 film box set, but noticed that there was over 3,000 ONE (1) star reviews with only 350 , 5 (FIVE) star reviews. Why? I personally rate the films 10/10 and same with the book, and it is well known that Amazon reviews are the real deal untarnished reviews. I say, why the hate?

Lord of the Rings HD edition Blu Ray, but no extended?
I then found out that the filmmakers had done it again: release the theatrical release again and plan to re-release the extended version on HD, after it was ALREADY made. I mean, it makes sense for the first time. So you’re going to release a re-release of re-release of a re-release? Great way to piss your fans and collectors off tbh.
Some comments from Amazon that made me just laugh were:

Keifer Sutherland 24 Season & Show Finale
My favorite show of all time ended just last night with its last season and season finale.
For those of you that haven’t checked it out, you are REALLY missing out. It had the best cinematic ending ever. I truly did not expect President Taylor to come clean as she did, it takes a true person to do so. Furthermore, I completely sympathize with her reasons for wanting to keep the peace treat. I believe the biggest mistake on her part was just to trust President Logan. This is a classic example of how a conspiracy & lies snowball into uncontrollable fixation. One lie after another. We can call this the “untruthful snowball effect”. Ex-President Logan (Gregory Itzin) had an end deserving of what was coming to him, but I did not like how he killed his own aide with the classic gunshot through the pillow (I never got why they do that, maybe because they won’t to see the face of the murdered man? I’m sure a psychologist could write a novel on why..). Moments before I figured out Charles Logan was going to go all Hitler-esque (a referral to Hitler’s suicidal end with gunshot), I was thinking “show what’s Logan’s next move”? What’s the Russian president going to do? I definitely DID get a kick when Jack Bauer went Mike Tyson on Jason (Logan’s aide).. bought him and Chloe O’Brian a few more moments. Read More

Jack Bauer pwning away on a vengeance!
I was watching the hit Fox show Twenty Four (24) and the way the season’s been turning out has given me some insights on the way Jack Bauer’s character has turned out. For those of you that haven’t seen 24 probably will not know the character names I talk about here, but hopefully understand the point of this post =).
Jack Bauer is (or was) a true protagonist of American cultural heroics (or the definition of “hero” in any culture), the good guy that avoids killing bad people but stopping them no matter the cost. Jack Bauer’s methods may have been questionable, but the audience always knew that he was doing it for good reasons. From my memory, Jack has lost several women in his past, including through death, and he allowed the justice system to take over after capturing said individuals. We all know the justice system has its disarrays of corruption. The bad guys with the connections have the best chance at getting away (example, Charles Logan). Its tough to change a bad guy into a good guy, so he/she will come back at you with revenge on their mind. Read More
