Over 3000 negative Amazon reviews on J. R. R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings? Why?

I’m talking about the HD version of the films by the way : ).
I just watched Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring extended DVD version for the first time, I’ve practically lost count of how many times I’ve seen the epic tale’s theatrical release myself. After finishing, I could not only wonder whether there was a Blu Ray format coming out to where I could see LOTR in full HD quality. Upon browsing on Amazon, I noticed they recently threw out a 3 film box set, but noticed that there was over 3,000 ONE (1) star reviews with only 350 , 5 (FIVE) star reviews. Why? I personally rate the films 10/10 and same with the book, and it is well known that Amazon reviews are the real deal untarnished reviews. I say, why the hate?

Lord of the Rings HD edition Blu Ray, but no extended?
I then found out that the filmmakers had done it again: release the theatrical release again and plan to re-release the extended version on HD, after it was ALREADY made. I mean, it makes sense for the first time. So you’re going to release a re-release of re-release of a re-release? Great way to piss your fans and collectors off tbh.
